Hello, my name is Heather Kirkpatrick, I have a little 15 month old daughter ( as seen to the left), a hard working husband (Jono), and a computer that loves me. (sometimes) :)
For about 2 and a half weeks, i've been making and listing hats and scarves on a site that promotes handmade shoppes called Etsy. It's amazing what people can make! :) And how good they look too.. :P
The purpose of this blog is to help me keep track of what I do every day, (try) what works, what doesent, and what I should do next time. Today I received my first feedback.. I didn't think it would feel so good to be able to read what strangers think about your work. She didn't say anything about the presentation, which I was kinda suprised.. ( since my sister and I took quite a bit of time on it ) But maybe I should take it as a compliment that she would rather spend the time raving about how much she liked my hat instead. :)
Now that I know my hats can fit 2 1/2 year olds just fine, I'm going to be working a little harder to let everyone know that yes even their terrible twos can wear it!
I finished my first hat celebrating St. Patrick's Day. It would look much better with my label on it.. *sigh* maybe I can get a fabric sheet from Wal mart tonight to get a few labels printed off for it. (currently waiting for UPS to get a package of printer fabric here from joanns online).
Well, my little rug troll is wanting to watch Barbie and the Twelve Dancing Princess' again.. for the third time today. *sigh* Gonna close the blog as I should probably get some dishes done anyways. You can see my hats and scarves @ http://www.etsy.com/shop.php?user_id=57274
